Dr. John Forsyth is leading teacher and trainer in the personal and practical use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness practices to alleviate human suffering and to support actions in the service of living well. He is also a professor of psychology, an active researcher in ACT and mindfulness practices, and an author of several popular books, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Anxiety Disorders, The Mindfulness & Acceptance Workbook for Anxiety, ACT on Life, Not On Anger, and Your Life on Purpose.
Across the United States and abroad, John offers talks and workshops for the public and mental health professionals on the application of ACT and mindfulness practices to promote psychological health and a life lived well. He also provides regular clinical supervision and consultation in ACT.
